In 2019 we undertook a renovation to add a new kitchen extension and turn an existing rumpus room and small bedroom into an open plan lounge and dining area that adjoined the new kitchen area that met a new entertaining area. The new area gets a strong eastern sun in the morning which being in Qld can be very hot, so we required blockout blinds quickly as the renovations finished approx in Oct, the start of Qld summer. We explored other options and companies and found a 12 week waiting period, less choice of fabrics, that they were made off shore and limited options. So we looked online and found iseekblinds.com.au. They were very helpful in sending a lot of samples as I had no idea of colouring for the new area, whether to go whites, greys, dark or textured fabric or plain. They offered assistance with colour and choice instigated by them but I needed the samples in the new area and light to be sure. Miraculously my husband and I agreed on the belice blockout haze after only a couple of days as it offered a mix of the colours of the new kitchen, walls and flooring. All... All went smoothly with the ordering and delivery coming very quickly within a few days. Upon installation we watched the videos but had 2 mishaps along the way. We realised that we ordered one blind with the width and drop measurements around the wrong way and this blind didn_x005Ft fit its window. Additionally, the kitchen was a motorised blind with remote which my husband caught the blind on the windows frame when he was testing it and couldn_x005Ft understand why it wouldn_x005Ft come down when pushing the remote initially. When we realised it was caught it made a minor pull through the fabric. We contacted iseekblinds and they were helpful in offering to charge us only for replacement material and fix this onto our motorised blind if we were to send back. We didn_x005Ft return it in the end but the offer was appreciated. All the other blinds went up smoothly and we ordered a replacement blind for the incorrectly ordered blind which we are hoping to use on another window once our upstairs renovation is complete from where our old kitchen was removed. We are very happy with how the blinds look but also the quality and strong blockout from the sun and heat which is what we needed quickly and to work effectively. These blockout blinds have made a big difference to the heat and have stopped the blaring sun in the new extension. Our favourite feature is the motorised kitchen blind as this blind goes up and down a lot and using a remote has made it very easy. It also goes up and down very smoothly. We did also order some bedroom blinds for my daughter_x005Fs room which she loves, again in a blockout fabric.
