The Windows in our entire building were being replaced, so we took the opportunity to rip up the old carpet and take down and wash our old roman blind, but the roman blind had been water damaged from years ago and did not come up good. I decided to search for Australian made blinds that might be affordable and DIY, as my dad had taught me a few handy things when growing up, so I was sure I could DIY myself when it came to putting them up. I originally was just looking for another Roman blind, but after seeing the pictures on iseekblinds of the sunscreen roller blinds and comparing the experience of having already sunscreen blinds in our lounge (which made the lounge much cooler in summer and you could see through them, but no-one could see in, i decided 'Why not do the same in the spare room for my brother, who is about to come and stay' - no point sitting in a small spare room with a non-see through Roman blind down - as we also have a building across from the spare room that can see in - the St Lucia Flax Roller material... Choosing the anodised, stainless steel look to go with the St Lucia Flax Roller material was easy, as the new windows they had just put in where Aluminum silver - my feng shui material is metal and my partner's as well as my brothers is 'earth' - so we have a combination of metal and earth/natural colours now throughout our apartment. What we would really love to do now, as they have just finished putting in the new windows in our main bedroom, is to have the same roller blind in our main bedroom and are even considering changing the old roller blind in our longue to match the other two rooms, but of course that is added costs, we are not sure we have.
