These Plantation Shutters Have Made the Bedroom a True Sanctuary

We converted the double garage attached to our home 15 years ago with curved glass panels, windows and a door to make a very large family room. We converted it again into a master bed, ensuite and living area recently. The low degree of curve of the glass panels of the windows did not allow for customised shutters so we added architrave trim to attach the shutters around the curve and added a second midrail to show off the curve while keeping the privacy at the front of the house. Some window frames were not square and there were gaps that could not be filled with 'no more gaps'. We used 6mm mould oak quad around the shutter frame, painted white which covered the gap and looks like part of the frame.
