Recently had more shutters delivered to go on windows where I had previously installed some of your roller blinds.The reason for the roller blinds was to enable us to watch sport etc in the middle of the day on our home theatre big screen.The challenges presented were many. 1: be able to keep the advantages of the blinds. 2: add the airflow/privacy/light/appeal characteristics of shutters 3:alignment of all shutters 4:Install the shutters to avoid the possibility of damaging the 60 year old light fittings, or the home theatre speakers when opening the shutters 5: Being able to close the shutters with the air conditioner there. Came up with a solution which solved all the objectives. Order the shutters 100 mm shorter than the architrave to clear the light fittings and the speakers,when open. Mount the blinds to the architrave. Make a 100 mm pelmet/ 20 mm spacer to cover the roller blinds,while bringing the shutters forward to clear the air conditioning unit,and allowing the roller to be lowered behind the shutters,and sitting this unit on top of the existing architrave to align its top with the shutter at the sliding door. For us the final result couldn't be any better...
