Before inserting the blind into the bracket – make sure the chain is hanging evenly from both sides and the flat surface is facing towards the top.

Insert the chain end into the male bracket first

072902-download-1

Guide the pin end into the female bracket until it clicks

072902-download-1

There should be 1.5 – 2mm of side-to-side movement (known as float)

Installing a Pelmet (If Ordered)

A Pelmet adds a polished finish to your roller blind and helps reduce dust. Watch the video for a full walkthrough.

072902-download-1

Install the spring-loaded brackets level to the architrave or wall. The brackets can sit 150mm from the outside edges to ensure a strong fixing. This can be adjusted if necessary.

072902-download-1

Attach the pelmet to the spring-loaded brackets provided with slight tilt motion necessary

072902-download-1

Your roller blind brackets are already installed inside the pelmet

072902-download-1

Once the pelmet is up, simply click your roller blind into place inside the pelmet.

072902-download-1

Always hold the motor end when installing and keep blind level at all times.

If it’s drifting to one side, unroll the blind and apply a small strip of masking tape to the opposite end of the aluminium tube

Setting Limits – Chain Method

Step One: Wake the Motor

  1. 1.

Press the Program button on the motor head.

    • The light will blink green twice to confirm the motor is awake.

  2. 2.

If the light turns solid green, the motor is in Remote Control Pairing Mode, not Chain Mode.

    • Press the Program button again to turn off the solid green light.

✅ You can now proceed to the next step.

Step Two: Enter Limit Setting Mode

  1. 1.

  3. 3.

Wait until the motor jogs, then release both the button and the chain.

✅ The motor is now in Limit Setting Mode.

Step Three: Set the Lower Limit

It is critical to set the Lower Limit first . This allows smart systems to understand open/close positions.

  1. 1.

Use the chain to move the blind down to the desired lower limit .

  2. 2.

If the blind moves in the wrong direction, release the chain and gently pull again to reverse the direction.

  3. 3.

Once at the desired position, quick press the Program button on the motor head.

✅ Blind will jog to confirm the lower limit has been saved.

Step Four: Set the Top Limit

  1. 1.

Use the chain to move the blind to the top limit position.

  2. 2.

When in position, quick press the Program button on the motor head.

✅ Blind will jog to confirm the top limit has been saved.

Step Five: Operation with Chain

  • Your limits are now set.

  • Gently tug the chain to move the blind to the upper or lower limits.

  • Pull again to stop the blind at any position.

This provides an alternative manual control method, perfect for guests or users without smart access.

Connecting RollerIQ Motor to Matter over Thread

Your motor will arrive with the Matter module pre-connected.

Step One: Enter Pairing Mode

  1. 1.

Quick press the Program button on the Matter module chip.

  2. 2.

  3. 3.

Open your smart home system, select Add New Device, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Ensure your Thread Border Router is nearby and active.

Matter Module Troubleshooting

  • If the green light is blinking constantly, you are in Bluetooth pairing mode — not used for smart home integration.

    • Quick press the button to exit Bluetooth mode.

    • Quick press again to re-enter Matter pairing mode (green light flashes four times with pauses).

Factory Resetting the Matter Module

  1. 1.

Press and hold the Program button on the Matter Module

  2. 2.

    Observe the LED sequence:

    • Flashing green

  3. 3.

Release the button once the light turns solid amber.

✅ The module has now been factory reset and is ready to pair with a new Thread network.

Troubleshooting Made Easy

Watch our step-by-step troubleshooting videos for simple fixes and expert guidance to get your blinds working perfectly.

Blind won’t click in:

Retract the pin end slightly and try again. Always install the control or motor side first.

Blind rolls unevenly:

Use masking tape to correct the roll direction.

Chain feels tight or has broken:

If mounted outside adjust bracket to allow for 1.5mm float from left to right.

If inside mounted the blind has been measured incorrectly and installed too tight inside the reveal. See our trouble shooting videos.

If chain has broken at the position of the stop ball, then due care was not taken when lowering the blind and subsequent damage has occurred.

Cleaning your blind:

Wipe gently with a soft, neutral coloured damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive rubbing. You can also use a vacuum with brush attachment.
