Choose Your Mounting Style
Inside Mount (Recess Fit):
The blind fits neatly within the window frame for a clean, modern finish.
Great for minimal interiors
Helps reduce light gaps
Minimum 60mm depth required for a flush fit
Expect small gaps at the sides – choose outside mount for improved blockout

Measure the Width
Inside Mount:
Measure inside the window frame at the top – bracket to bracket.

Important:
The width you enter is always bracket-to-bracket.
The fabric width will be 15mm less per side (30mm total).
If you are adding a Pelmet 95 to your roller blind, measure edge to edge of the pelmet. Fabric will be 18mm less per side (36mm total).

Measure the Drop
Inside Mount:
Measure from the top of the recess to the bottom.

Outside Mount (Face Fit):
The blind is installed on the outside of the frame or wall, covering the entire opening.
Best for blockout, privacy, and light control
Ideal for shallow recesses or when clearing obstructions
Can make windows look taller and wider

Measure the Width
Outside Mount:
Measure from the outer edge of one architrave to the outer edge of the other architrave.

For square set windows, add 70mm each side (140mm total) for full coverage.

Measure the Drop
Outside Mount:
Measure from the top of the architrave or mounting point to where you’d like the blind to finish.
Measuring the Drop – Outside Mount (Square Set or Above Architrave)
Installing your blinds above a square set reveal or on the wall above the architrave? Here’s how to measure your drop with confidence:
Start your measurement from the top of where you would like to install the blind – this should be at least 75mm above the top of the reveal for standard roller blinds, or 100mm above if you’re using Pelmet 95.
Then measure down to at least 75mm below the bottom of the reveal, or all the way to the floor — whichever suits your space.
This will be your overall drop measurement to enter when placing your order.

Choose Your Control Side
As you face the window, decide whether you want your chain or motor on the left or right.
Manual Chain Control:
Reliable, easy to use
Choose white, black, metal, or stainless steel (recommended for coastal or wet areas)
We’ll provide the ideal chain length based on your drop (see table below)
If your blind is wider than 1800mm, a spring assist is added to your chain drive for easier lifting and smoother operation
Motorised Control:
Cordless, child-safe, and smart home ready
Select your motor based on your blind size and features

Check for Obstructions
Check for handles, winders, or anything that could get in the way.

Pick Your Roll Direction
Front Rolled
Inside Mount: We recommend front roll for better clearance and a softer look

Outside Mount: We recommend back roll to bring the fabric closer to the wall for better blockout

But remember — it’s completely up to you. Choose the roll direction that suits your space and style.
Mike's Tip!
For bedrooms we recommend 2 separate roller blinds: An inside mounted sunscreen or light filter blind and an outside mounted blockout blind. This will provide you with maximum privacy and room darkening.

Label Each Window
Start at your front door and move clockwise around your home.
Label each window with its room name (e.g., Bedroom 1, Living Room) to stay organised during ordering.

Always use a steel tape or laser for better accuracy
Measure every window—even if they look the same
Always record in millimetres (mm)
It’s better to be 1mm short than 1mm too long
